- 4 egg whites
- 5 cups pecan halves
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Beat egg whites in a large bowl.
- Add pecans to the bowl and mix with the egg whites.
- In a separate bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- After mixing, pour the sugar and spice mixture into the bowl with the pecans and mix thoroughly to coat all the pecans.
- Transfer all the pecans onto the foil lined baking sheet.
- Ensure that the pecans are spread out as much as possible on the baking sheet and place in the heated oven.
- Bake for one hour. While baking, take the tray out of the oven every 15 minutes to stir the pecans on the baking sheet and place back into the oven.
