My peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are the perfect marriage of peanut butter and chocolate. Be sure to serve with an ice cold glass of milk.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Serves: 2 dozen cookies
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup peanut butter, smooth or crunchy
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a medium sized bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt.
- Set aside. Using standup mixer, mix shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs and vanilla on low until smooth.
- Gradually add flour mixture until combined.
- Add chocolate chips and turn off mixer after chocolate chips are somewhat evenly distributed through cookie dough.
- Use a small cookie scoop to place on greased cookie sheet one inch apart.
- Bake about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack.
