Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta

Ingredients
- 1 large baguette sliced into one-inch slices
- 1 cup heirloom cherry tomatoes sliced in half
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh basil chopped
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp honey
- ½ tsp sea salt
- ¼ tsp fresh ground pepper
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, garlic, basil, vinegar olive oil, honey, salt, pepper and pepper flakes.
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap and marinate for 30-45 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line bread slices on a large baking pan and drizzle with olive oil. Toast in oven for 10-15 minutes or until slightly golden.
- Transfer bread slices to a serving platter.
- Remove tomato mixture from refrigerator and pour heaping table spoonful's of marinated tomatoes over each slice.
- Drizzle remaining vinegar over bread. Serve immediately.
